ABOUT

JAY DUSOLD, M.S., MDIV

NEXT-GEN CAREER GUIDE

MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER

Jay is no stranger to the struggle of trying to figure out direction after high school. As a college student, he battled depression after realizing the career he selected was a terrible choice. As a father, he watched his son struggle and feared he’d waste time, money, and effort getting it wrong. As a youth career guide, he’s connected with thousands of young people who are anxious, stressed, and worried about direction after high school.

Jay has spent decades working with young people in various capacities including developing curriculum, creating workshops, hosting retreats, speaking, and leading groups on international humanitarian trips. He's also logged countless hours in family counseling as a mentor and coach and is often overheard saying, "Young people are my favorite humans on the planet!"

His work as a career guide began in 2014 when his oldest son was a junior in high school and was trying to figure out what to do after graduation. Concerned that there would be wasted time, money, and effort getting it wrong, he began to search for solutions.

Unsatisfied with the traditional question-based quizzes and aptitude tests that were incomplete and unreliable, he created his own  solution (True-Fit Career Guidance System) after securing the support of Arthur Miller Jr. and his unique narrative-based assessment that had been used for decades in corporate arenas. Upon successfully helping his son identify a verifiable career fit, he decided to use his system to help other young people secure the same career clarity and confidence.

Often referred to as "the next-gen career guide," Jay now empowers young people around the world through the Awesome Somewhere message and his coaching work.
